The U.S. has been negotiating for days with others in the United Nations Security Council to avoid using another veto on a U.N. resolution that “calls for an ‘urgent suspension’” of the conflict between Israel and Hamas and allows the delivery of aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip, according to the U.N.
