I’ll show you how to create a Google Places API Key for free in five easy steps. I’ll be using a WordPress website as an example, but this will work for any type of website. There is no way to do it without billing details. So you will have to enter your credit card or bank account number to get access to Places API.
But, if you have a small site, so less than 15000 visitors per month on the page with the map, it should be totally free for you.

Let’s get started by signing up for Google Developers Console.
