MURPHY BED under 400$!
How to DIY
Published on May 5, 2020
The goal of this video consists in showing you an example on how a murphy bed can be built by yourself by customizing pieces of furniture from Ikea with some elements from your building supply store.
The Ikea items that I have used in this video:
-mattress (did not find it at the US store, so here's the UK version): http://tinyurl.com/yax5fjrr
-bed frame (I reused the headboard as a shelve for my bathroom): http://tinyurl.com/yb6bnj7q
-my desk lamps are not available anymore, but you can use this: http://tinyurl.com/ycksr2dy
-the white headboard is made out of two folding tables: http://tinyurl.com/ya8jarq3
PS: In order to find the products above in your country, just copy the reference number of the product and type in the search bar of your local Ikea website ;-)
Required budget:
350$ for Ikea + min.50$ for other fixtures (hinges, screws, legs, chipboard...)
Optional: For the white cupboards on top, you'll need this:
