On Wednesday, NASCAR officially banned the Confederate flag from all events after a request from Bubba Wallace, the sport's lone black driver. Wallace tells TODAY that “to a large of people, it’s a symbol of hate and oppression” and says he’s “kind of baffled” about the comments of driver Ray Ciccarelli, who pledged to quit at the end of the season because of the ban.
